Your Ms. Universe International is an on air personality,
Leadership and Health Advocate for Women, community leader, and
an entrepreneur. |
|
She was in her first pageant at age eight. Since then she has
served as a judge, director, coach, and consultant. Lauren has
held local, state, national and international titles. |
|
She ia a Chicago native, an on-air radio personality on global
internet radio station 107.3 VIP, the host of the Lunch with
Lauren Show, and lover of all things pageants. |
|
Her professional and personal career also encompass the fields of
beauty, professional development, higher education, and community
development. she teaches social etiquette, career development,
and consults both professional and pageant clients on styling,
personal branding, platform development, interviewing, and public
speaking. Lauren loves to work with individuals that are looking
to change their lives and hope to make an impact on a global
scale. |

Her core commitment to service led to serving as the President of
the National Coalition of 100 Black Women – Chicago Chapter and
on board for National Organization of Women- Chicago Chapter in
2013, and she has been a featured speaker or presenter or
numerous organizations, such as: Illinois Diversity Council,
DuPage County – NAACP, Girl Scouts of America, Lil Sis Teen Expo,
and Chicago Women Insights & Technology (ChicWIT) |

As Ms. Universe International, my year of service will be
centered around Women’s Leadership Development & Health Advocacy
with special concentrations on Pituitary and Autoimmune
Disorders. After being diagnosed with a pituitary tumor in 2011,
and having a mother that battles an autoimmune disorder (Neuro
Myelitis Optica), she has learned the importance of advocating
for your own health and for your loved ones. It’s important for
people to ask questions, speak up, do research, and be an active
participant in your health. |
