It was a great ten months. The title of MRS. UNIVERSE opened
necessary doors for me that would have been much more difficult
to pass through without it. For that, I am grateful. Please keep
an eye out for my digital photo-journal cataloging my reign with
captions and stories, the events, appearances, interviews,
speaking engagements, and photo-ops. Additionally, I have a book
coming out in three months. Watch for that, too. (happy dance)
Thank you to Lynda Samuels for her support and understanding. And
thank you to my sister queen, Nikki Johnson-Huston, Ms. Universe,
who was a great cheerleader at all times. A special thank you to
Bill Hall, owner of the Mrs. Universe pageant, without whom, I
would not have had this honor. He says I did him proud. My strong
work ethic drove me to exceed the requirements of my role, of
which he took note.
I will continue my work advocating for Oral Hygiene Education and
its impact on Bodily Health both nationally and internationally,
with trips planned to Kenya for research and mission service
September ’22, March ’23, and September ’23—but not alone. A team
of dental volunteers I’ve not even met yet will accompany me to
assist. They are very excited about participating in my research
and the safari that follows.
Lastly, a big thank you to my husband who was always so eager to
tell everyone of my title and insist on pictures with sash (and
crown, if appropriate). Although he didn’t understand my modesty
about it, he was the main reason I have so much documented by
photos, bless his heart.
So I bid adieu, digitally, just as I said “Hello.”
