Your Ms. Alaska is Sonshine Konovalov. She is a strong, kind, and
a caring advocate for others in her home state of Alaska. She has
2 dogs named Samson and Seamore which are her 4 legged kids. |

She works as a personal care assistant while attending Southeast
University of Alaska as a full time student. Helping
seniors,veterans and people in the community are her forte and
she has been doing it for over 10 years. |
|
Sonshine is passionate about helping others realize their full
potential in life. She has a positive attitude and sunny
personality. She has walked thru suicide personally and knows
what it’s like to suffer from depression, feeling alone, and
hopelessness. Her commitment to save others lives in Alaska is
her priority. She has intervened in 3 lives and stopped them from
leaving this world prematurely. |

As a Light of Hope in Alaska she wants to inspire people to not
give up on themselves and their Dreams. Alaska has the highest
suicide rate in the nation. She is an advocate in Alaska for
suicide prevention. She loves to volunteer with Horses in the
Community. Volunteers with Military veterans and Disabled. She
has been on social committees and volunteered with elections for
Kelly Tshibaka, Nick Begich, Don Young, Dan Sullivan, Ron
Gillham, Sarah Vance, Tea Winger. She has been on Kenai Borough
for the Anchor Point Planning Commision Seat appointed by the
mayor. She has been named Ambassador for Saved by Christ and
Ambassador Just Strong Clothing. |

She has been on events teams with Governor of Alaska Mike
Dunleavy. She is also a CBN Partner. She was given a Honor of
Hope Award Aug 7th 2008 Representing Alaska Faith Based for work
history signed by President George Bush and put in a book. She
was nominated as National Distingushed Professional and also
Nominated for Who’s Who work history. Has been apart of Operation
Rescue, Convention of States Action, Elks Lodge, Emblem Club. She
believes if you have Faith as a Mustard seed you can move
mountains. Her goal is to help Alaskans and make a difference
saving lives in young people, adults, veterans, |

She loves Alaska and the people and has there for most of her
life. Alaska is a beautiful state with lots of wildlife and
mountains. By bringing Hope, Love, and Strength to the
communities , she believes that we as a state can change the
numbers and statistics in Alaska. |
